It’s as simple as this: your life is special, and it deserves to be documented.
I was born and raised in New Zealand and now call Melbourne, Australia home. After finishing my photography degree in 2015, I spent time gaining experience across different areas of the photography industry, travelling a little, and generally enjoying life through my twenties with a camera never too far from reach.
In 2019, life took a slightly unexpected turn when I launched another passion project: houseplants. The Power Plant became my love project for over five years and taught me so much about running a small business and connecting with people in my community. But photography was always there in the background. I never really put my camera away — just gently to the side. And as they say, once a photographer, always a photographer! Relaunching Samantha Hamilton Photography felt like a natural step back into something that has always been part of me. Today, I focus on capturing families, couples, maternity, and newborn moments in a way that feels relaxed, honest, and true to you.
I’m here for real love, real connection, and the beautifully ordinary moments that make your life yours. And I’d be honoured to capture them for you.
